Big Game Grub

January 18, 2013 — , , , , , , , , , ,

The big game is just two weeks away, which means it’s time to put my party-planning hat on! My guests are in charge of the 3D’s (drinks, dips and desserts), and I’m making all the finger licken’ good eats! After finding some Pinspiration, I think I’ve found the perfect spread. Check out this simple, yet powerful game day set up via Hostess with the Mostess:

To keep my guests happy without spending hours cooking and cleaning up before they arrive, I head to Food City to fake game day perfection! Of course I’ll grab a veggie plate for the dips and a buffalo wing tray to appease my hungry crew, but I’ll also make small tweaks to Food City’s other trays to make dishes that look and taste like I’ve spent hours making them!

Take these chicken tenders for example:

By using Food City’s chicken tender platter, simply place a few tenders out as is and give the rest a quick toss in your favorite barbecue or wing sauce. Don’t forget ranch and blue cheese for dipping!

Food City’s finger sandwich tray is another great addition to any party. It has the perfect mix of ham, roast beef, and turkey sandwiches for my friends to munch on throughout the game:

Divide the sandwiches up onto festive dishes and surround them with ramekins of spicy mustard, mayo, horseradish and other toppings to make it easy for everyone to customize their sandwiches!

Once you’re done, deck your house out with your team’s colors, strategically place your food around the living room, and voilá, you’ve achieved game day party perfection!
