Back to School Organization Tips

Summer has come to an abrupt end and back-to-school season has arrived in the blink of an eye, which means that now it’s time to get organized! And since my kids are now preoccupied, I have had some time to find Pinterest tips to help get my house in order for the school year. Here are the three best organizational ideas I found:
Dry Erase Menu Board from Make and Takes
The first thing my kids ask me each time they get in the car after school is, “Hey Mom, what’s for dinner?” So I found this DIY menu board idea so that they can always know what’s for dinner the whole week. This also helps me to get my grocery list organized for when I go to Food City each week.
Backpack Storage from Delightful Order
In the past, my kids have loved dropping their backpacks on the floor, hanging them on the backs of chairs or throwing them in the corner of the room each day, leaving me searching high and low for permission slips to sign and homework to check. This little set up will help alleviate all of that and by adding a calendar above each hook, I’ll be better able to keep track of soccer practices, dance recitals, tests and more.
Hanging File Folders from Better Homes & Gardens
A hanging file folder system is the most versatile organization tool. You can assign a different slot to each of your children or you can have the files based on level of urgency! How would you use this organization tool?
What other tools do you use to make the school year less hectic? Share them in the comments!
