The Cook Out Challenge

The Power Shoppers and I came across a stat the other day that says that the average cost of a cook out this year is cheaper than it was last year, thanks to grocery stores being more budget-friendly in their pricing of cook out staples! And with Food City offering great deals on prime cuts of meat and fresh seafood right now, we issued a challenge to each other to see who could create the best menu out of food just cooked on the grill. The winning menu, (which was mine by the way!) and the recipes are below:
This Grilled Bruschetta Chicken is a light and summery grilled meat option for a delicious cook out! Just look at those yummy cherry tomatoes…
You can never go wrong with Grilled Potatoes, and these are sure to tickle your taste buds when you use this recipes’s tarragon and parsley seasoning mixture!
Mix up this Grilled Zucchini with some onions and maybe some peppers (as recommended by @JulesKeepsPace) and you’ve got a delicious vegetable dish! This recipe only uses two ingredients: olive oil and oregano!
The hardest part of this menu was coming up with a grilled dessert, but this Grilled Pineapple with Vanilla Ice Cream and Rum Sauce recipe sure makes my mouth water!
What’s your favorite grilled food? You will have a chance to share your ideal grillin’ menu on the Food City Facebook page starting on July 30 so start planning to enter for a chance to win a new grill now!
